Adelaide convention - part three

 Day three: Explore Adelaide!

We were all assigned into groups to go on the 'Explore Adelaide' day.  Our group was the 'Orange Triangles', and it included (amongst others) Lisa, Mary, Chris Dog and myself!

We were given clues and activities to complete throughout the day.  We started off by heading down to Port Adelaide on the train...

Me and Mares on the train

The Orange Triangles outside the aviation museum with our jumping photo

Outside the railway museum with our train and tunnel

Being fish and sharks outside the maritime museum

Lis, Mares and myself at the lighthouse in Port Adelaide

Oh these girls are beautiful - Kendal and Danielle - they were in my troop at TFY in Melbourne in 2006!

The "view" on our dolphin cruise....where we saw ONE dolphin - haha it was rather hilarious

on the front of the boat
It's Olan! So good to see her - it's kind weird not having her around on sundays in Hobart at the moment...
The girls on the cruise..

Me and Mares ate lunch in the botanical gardens with Shaun (from Perth) -
we met him the day before in the bus on the way to church!

Building a human pyramid...

Mary rowing me around a little lake

Sitting on one of the brass pigs in the mall

Chris and mares with one of the piggies...

We rode the tram down to Glenelg and Shaun entertained us the whole way

The end of the day - we ended up down at Glenelg

Dinner at Montezumas

Throughout the day we also...
  • went to the botanical gardens for lunch
  • played a game of beach volleyball
  • rode the Obharn out to one of the interchanges where we had to find our next clue by asking people for it, and if we didn't get it we had to explain what we were doing and give away a pass along card
  • took photos/videos of our group singing a nursery rhyme in the mall, in front of the fountain, the balls and the pigs in the mall
  • Went to the museum and found certain things in there
  • and took the tram down to Glenelg
That night we had a bit of a groove in the Marquee and had a live band that has some of the YSA in it.
