On the saturday following our mountain adventure, we went sailing! Woot! Lisa (my supervisor and our lab head), and her husband Rob (a postdoc in the lab) have a yacht, and so we went sailing for the day with them and their cute little girls!

It was a beautiful warm winters day!
We sailed out of Kettering where their boat is moored,
and sailed down the channel to Snake Island

I spent my afternoon lazing around on the yacht reading Harry Potter! :-)

So I have never been sailing before, that is unless you count that boat we went on at Port Arthur where I got attacked by the seagull. Your outing looks lovely and relaxing!
