Another Melbourne Trip :-)

On the first weekend of May, all the family headed over to Melbourne for the weekend for Asher's blessing.

We arrived late Friday night (very late - damn you Jetstar!!!) and headed to bed pretty much straight away.  On Saturday morning, we headed in to the city to go shopping, grabbed some lunch and then Dad, Matt, Nicole and myself headed to the MCG for Saturday Afternoon Football! Hawthorn vs. Carlton (Dad and Nic go for carlton - me and matt just went because we will go to any footy match - and we are both pretty partial to carlton!).

It was such a good game - so close the whole time, and the last five minutes were insane.  Carlton were down by 25 points - got some quick goals, and before we knew it there was about a minute to go, hawks leading by 5 points....Fev marks the footy inside the 50 more or less directly in front.  Everyone was getting so pumped - it was going to be the fairytale ending...fev kicks the ball.....it hits the post...every starts celebrating because they think it has gone through, then they realise i hasn't and the despair sets in.....20 seconds later the siren goes and poor Fev is just laying on the ground in such disappointment!  SUCH a good game to watch - i was getting so in to it and I don't even go for carlton - but it was awesome - and these are definitely the kind of footy matches that are good to watch live!

Straight after the footy we headed back to Emma's place for little miss Tessa's birthday party!  her birthday was on May 16th, but we were not ALL going to be able to get together, so this was the 'whole family' birthday party - she was having another one on her actual birthday as well!

We had pizza for dinner and a delicious trampoline icream cake with boysenberry grlato, ferrero rocher icecream and banana icecream, on a chocolate icecream base! SOOO GOOD!! Tessa loved  it - as did Ethan!!

On sunday morning we headed over to Andrew's place to hang out before church and play with the boys.  We went to church with Andrew for Asher's blessing!  He was a good little boy and did not cry during his blessing.  He's such a cutie!
