YSA ANZAC day camp!!

Yes everyone I am blogging.  This means that my Neuro essay is FINISHED and HANDED in.  HOORAY!!!!!

On ANZAC day, the YSA all got up bright and early (5.15am) to meet at the cenotaph at 5:45am for the dawn service.  Afterwards we headed over to the Kings for a big yummy cooked breakfast!  It was delicious!!

That afternoon we all treked down to the Huon for our camp in the paddocks of the Menzies cottage.  It was a really fun camp and I had a blast hanging out with everyone.  On Friday night we had tinfoil dinners.  We chucked potato, carrot, mixed veggies, capsicum, onion and mince in some foil.  Then covered it with cream of mushroom soup and wrapped it all up in foil a couple of time.  We then chucked it on the hot coals of the camp fire and let it cook for about 25 minutes. Delicious!!

After dinner we had a testimony meeting around the campfire which was lovely.

Then just the usual camp hanging out around the camp fire with a guitar and dessert and marshmallows to toast. fun fun.
When we went to our tents we had a bit of a part-ay in our mansion of a tent - ladies poked night! hahaha.  Fun fun.

In the moring we had breakky and a devotional around the campfire, followed by service projects til lunch time - i dug potatoes.  heaps of fun!!

after lunch we went on an amazing race around huonville.  it was so good - alex did a good job making up some clues and stuff..and team number 2 (yes that's right folks, my team) won.  our team consisted of Sam, Mary, Bek, Emily and me.  Good times.

Bring on Saturday night - we had a BARN DANCE!!  We all dressed up in our flannys, our cowboy hats and our jeans and had a good ol' how-down! So much fun!!!

All in all an awesome camp, with some crazy fun things happening and a good bunch of people to be hanging out with!

We finished the weekend up with a YSA fireside on sunday night at Bishop Read's house in Howrah.  President Menzie took the fireside and it was really good.  A very fun fireside.
